Rachel Carson.

...All right gentle readers, I am trying to get in the groove of blogging. Semi-major vacations are out of the way for now, my volunteer schedule has broken for the summer, school is out, wait...I don't have kids. Okay, scratch that last excuse for why I have not posted to this blog, my cats do not attend kindergarten. YET. But, I *still* do not know much about using Blogger, please forgive my tardiness.

So, I give just a small MEOW out, for today's Google Doodle. It honors Rachel Carson, in a beautiful, almost delftware inspired graphic; if you click the link below it should take you to a wonderful resource article from The Washington Post with video and biographical content.

Google Doodle honors Rachel Carson

For everyone who tries to eat clean, go vegan, farm organic, juice with a Vita Mix, check food labels for GMO's, compost, or scrutinize what pet food you feed your companion animals or use for pest control issues, we owe a great debt to Rachel Carson, and her book, "Silent Spring" published in 1962. Labeled a radical by many back in that day, her book raised the consciousness of Americans to scrutinize the use, and misuse of pesticides. Something I hope to write about more, is green pet rearing!

=)With 6!
